Opencart 2 Can I Upload Product Images Over Ftp

Import pictures

I have imported my product list into OC 2.0 database successfully by using the Export/import tool then I uploaded (using FTP) all the product's pictures into /prototype/enshroud/catalog/demo/ then check my spider web just no showing up on the web. So I double checked the path and the file proper noun in the db/production table and is correct, showing catalog/demo/xxxxx.jpg. So I go to admin folio and search out this product and found out there is no image inserted with this product. Then I uploaded the picture manually in the admin folio and yes it is at present showing upwards on the web. In social club to make certain I ftp uploaded all the pictures in the correct path, I utilise the ftp to search the image I but uploaded. And yes, it uploaded to /image/enshroud/catalog/demo/. And then I'm sure this is the right path of the images suppose to be store at. And come across one single file uploaded in admin page and there would create iv files with different size. At present, I know opencart will do auto resize picture. Ok, that seems very good. I don't need to resize pictures manually. But now question is I have similar g products, how can I upload all the pictures easily. I don't want to do to admin folio upload ane by 1. thank y'all for your help. I have tried to search the solution here and google simply not seeing any solution that'south why asking hither.

/image/cache/catalog/demo/
Is not a directory to upload images, original images should be stored in image/itemize/...

I approximate..

If your using an import consign tool why are y'all manually editing the product database table? You should be editing the import file for the correct file path location and then importing that back. The cache binder is where opencart generates buried images not where you lot should upload them to. The uploaded images should be in the information folder.

Thank yous SXGuy,

The reason I manually update ane record in db is because I desire to quick test to run into if information technology works, if yeah and so I would change the import file prototype path for alll.

Desire to ask:

1. OK. I uploaded all the images into image/data folder past using ftp. What should I do in gild to tell OC 2.0 to generate cache images?

2. Likewise want to confirm the image path in the product table should be pointing to the data binder or the cache folder?

Thank you so much.

Afterward many hours to testing, finally got it to work. At present, I am wondering why the default sample image path is (under the product table):

catalog/demo/canon_eos_5d_1.jpg

and my prototype path is:

data/demo/APC-LP04747EP.jpg

Is this correct? I thought all the main pictures should be in the same folder? Is it going to course any problem later? thanks.

Not worth that much to update the image paths, yet.
Upgrade to version 2.0 of the extension is well-nigh complete. Information technology as well has an modify image paths in the database.
OSWorX add the feature however, then that it can be used in several languages.
Wait a few hr withal, please :)

Hi

I downloaded the export/import tool and installed today. everything works brilliantly, so cheers for making such a useful tool.

Unfortunately, no matter how many variations i effort, I cant go the new products to phone call images. All other data is displayed correctly, but no images!

I specified the file paths correctly and ftp'd the images to the correct folder. eg 'catalog/image.jpg' which is the aforementioned path as the older products, but im getting no images on the new products. incidentally, the images for the older products are displaying correctly, even after deliberately breaking the links, and and then correcting them (diagnostic examination.) I have uploaded the images to public_html/images/catalog/, but I take likewise (in desperation!) tried uploading to public_html/images/cache/catalog/ too..! That didn't work either!

Opencart two.0.1.ane

Please assistance me! What am I doing incorrect?

Dan
